Happy September

One of my favorite seasons is summer. Not just because it's my birthday month but I love the sun, feeling the warmth against my skin. But I also love the fall. The leaves change colors, enjoying the pumpkin spice coffee and apple cider donuts. It's also a reminder that the year is almost over and it gives me the opportunity to review my goals that I made in January.

How have your goals been going so far this year? Have you accomplished anything off your list or did you find yourself struggling to get things done? I'll admit I struggled this year with mine but that's ok. Things don't have to be perfect right? We tend to fall off or lose focus. But why is that? Personally, I think I could come up with a better strategy, maybe lowering my goal time frame down so that I wouldn't feel like I was being rushed. Also I came to the conclusion I left out one very important action I should had at the start. God! See when you're ready to sit down and map out some goals or plans you want to accomplish you should also consult God first.

The bible says in Habakkuk 2:2-3- "And then GOD answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time. "

So I want to encourage you this month to grab your special notebook or journal, highlight markers whatever you choose and of course your bible. Sit down with God. Seek Him. Ask Him what He wants you to do this season. Of course you can write down your own goals also but ask God how you should go about it. Pray for kingdom connections to help you reach what God has shown you. The most important thing you can do for your life is keep God first in all your decisions in life. Sometimes your way is not God's way.
